Seafood Souq partners with Newsan Food to Revolutionize Seafood Trade in the GCC

DUBAI – Dubai-based Seafood Souq has announced an exclusive partnership with Argentine seafood supplier Newsan Food, marking a significant milestone in direct seafood exports from Argentina to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and beyond.

This strategic alliance, unveiled in a recent press release, grants Seafood Souq a unique commercial privilege, positioning it as the sole distributor of Newsan Food products in the GCC. This arrangement has not been extended to any other company, underscoring the significance of the partnership.

Seafood Souq, a global technology firm from the UAE, has developed a comprehensive digital ecosystem for the seafood industry. This ecosystem facilitates the tracing, trading, and financing of seafood products, streamlining the supply chain and ensuring transparency.

The partnership is set to prioritize the distribution of Newsan Food’s extensive range of premium seafood items, including high-quality Chilean Sea Bass, Argentinian Shrimps, Squids, and more.

By leveraging Seafood Souq’s innovative online platform and Newsan Food’s expertise, the collaboration is expected to unlock substantial growth opportunities for both companies.

Jimmy Torchut, Chief Business Development Officer of Seafood Souq, highlighted the importance of this partnership in enhancing trade transparency and facilitating direct deliveries from Argentina to new markets. “This collaboration marks a significant step in our mission to make trade more traceable and offer direct delivery from Argentina to new markets,” Torchut stated. He expressed pride in working with Newsan Food, renowned for its high-quality seafood products.

Newsan Food, with annual revenues exceeding US$1 billion, operates 40 fishing vessels, 16 advanced processing plants, and three large cold storage facilities. The company is set to prioritize its partnership with Seafood Souq as it seeks to expand into additional international markets.

Alex Bongiorno, COO of Eurotrade, emphasized the strong, long-standing relationship between Eurotrade Seafood and Newsan Food in France.

He expressed excitement about the new collaboration, stating, “We are very excited to bring our technical expertise and support to this promising collaboration and are confident in the success that our partnership will bring to the region.”

Currently, Newsan Food serves 70 countries under its various brands, including Newsan Food, Tradarsa, Valastro, Nietos de Antonio Baldino, and Pesantar. The partnership with Seafood Souq is poised to enhance its global footprint further, offering premium seafood products to a broader audience.

This exclusive partnership between Seafood Souq and Newsan Food marks a significant development in the seafood industry, promising to enhance trade efficiency and expand market reach in the GCC region and beyond.
