Canadian Asset Management Fiera Capital Receives Initial Approval to Establish Qatar Financial Centre Branch

DOHA, Qatar: Fiera Capital, a leading independent Canadian asset management firm with approximately USD 115 billion in assets under management (AUM), is set to establish a local branch in the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) after its UK subsidiary received initial authorisation from the QFC Regulatory Authority.

Led by Vijay Singh, the new office is expected to strengthen the firm’s engagement with investors in Qatar and support its expansion in the region’s growing asset management market.

The move builds on Fiera Capital’s existing presence in Qatar’s financial sector. In 2025, the firm launched a USD 200 million Qatar Equity Fund in partnership with the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), reinforcing its commitment to the country’s investment landscape.

The establishment of a local branch would further strengthen Fiera Capital’s regional footprint while contributing to Qatar’s ambitions to develop as a regional hub for asset management and financial services.

The development also aligns with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the country’s economy and strengthen its financial sector.
