Dubai, UAE: Nabta Health, a UAE-based healthtech company focused on AI-powered preventive healthcare, has secured a fresh investment from Phoenix Venture Partners (PVP), which led the second close of the company’s ongoing $3 million Pre-Series A funding round. The investment includes a combination of primary and secondary capital, although the amount raised in this closing was not disclosed.

Founded in 2017 by Sophie Smith, Nabta Health has evolved from a direct-to-consumer women’s health platform into a preventive healthcare technology company serving employers, insurers and healthcare providers. The company combines artificial intelligence, early disease detection and hybrid digital and clinical care to support earlier intervention and more coordinated healthcare delivery.

Its offering includes Aya, an AI-supported care navigation tool, alongside preventive screening services and personalised care pathways. The platform aims to connect patients, payors and healthcare providers while helping employers and insurers improve population health management and address long-term healthcare costs through preventive care.

The latest investment marks a new phase in Nabta Health’s development, as the company shifts its focus from product development, research and development (R&D), and clinical infrastructure towards commercialisation and expansion.

The funding will support the company’s go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition, enterprise offering and strategic partnerships across the employer, insurance and healthcare sectors. PVP will also work with Nabta Health’s leadership team to accelerate commercial partnerships and support its next stage of institutional growth.

As part of the investment, Steve Khayat, Founder and CEO of Phoenix Venture Partners, will join Nabta Health’s Board as PVP’s representative. Dr. Mussaad Al-Razouki, PVP Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director, who has supported Nabta Health since its early days as a founding investor and former Executive Chairman, will transition from his position on the company’s Board.

Commenting on the investment, Khayat said Nabta Health had established its technology, clinical infrastructure and business model and was demonstrating commercial traction.

He added that the company had reached an important stage where its focus could shift towards market expansion and sales acceleration, with PVP supporting strategic partnerships, customer acquisition and scalable growth.

Sophie Smith, Founder and CEO of Nabta Health, said the investment would provide the company with additional capital, regional relationships and operational support to accelerate its commercial expansion and deepen partnerships with employers, insurers and healthcare providers.

The Pre-Series A round has attracted participation from institutional investors, venture capital firms, family offices and high-net-worth individuals.

In November 2025, Nabta Health raised $2 million in Pre-Series A funding to expand its hybrid women’s health model. The company’s latest financing activity builds on that investment as it advances its broader strategy to develop AI-powered preventive healthcare infrastructure for the regional market.
