The investment will support the rollout of Vitalls’ AI-powered digital health passport, with an option for an additional $1 million investment.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Vitalls, a UAE-based healthtech startup developing an AI-powered digital health passport, has secured a $1.5 million investment commitment from Singapore-based EST Growmore Pte. Ltd., the investment arm of EST Group, as part of its seed funding round. The agreement includes an option for EST Growmore to invest a further $1 million.

The agreement was announced during the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit and signed by Mehdi Bouchenak, Founder and CEO of Vitalls, and Dr. Sindhu Bhaskar, Chairman of EST Group. EST Growmore will join the round as an anchor investor.

Founded in 2023, Vitalls enables individuals and families to securely store, manage and share their medical records across healthcare providers and countries. Its digital health passport aims to address the fragmentation of medical records across healthcare systems, which can lead to repeated medical tests, delayed treatment and incomplete patient information.

The platform provides users with a secure, centralised location to manage their health records and share them with healthcare providers of their choice, with their consent. The solution is designed to serve internationally mobile individuals, families and enterprises that require access to medical histories across borders.

The investment will support the further development and rollout of Vitalls’ digital health passport, as the company looks to expand its reach regionally and internationally.

Beyond the financial commitment, Vitalls and EST Growmore will explore opportunities for distribution, product development and strategic partnerships across EST Group’s telecommunications and healthcare investment portfolio. The collaboration is intended to leverage the group’s network to support the platform’s commercial expansion.

“This agreement is a major step for Vitalls. More than the capital, it confirms that the problem we set out to solve is real and urgent,” said Mehdi Bouchenak, Founder and CEO of Vitalls. He added that the investment reflects growing recognition of the need for patient-owned health records and solutions that allow individuals to access their medical histories wherever they live, work or travel.

Dr. Sindhu Bhaskar, Chairman of EST Group, said the group sees significant potential in Vitalls’ approach to addressing fragmented health records. He highlighted the opportunity to leverage EST Group’s investment ecosystem and strategic network to accelerate the startup’s growth.

The investment comes as digital health solutions increasingly focus on improving access to medical information, interoperability between healthcare systems and patient control over personal health data. For Vitalls, the partnership provides both funding and potential strategic opportunities to scale its digital health passport across markets.
