BitOasis Appoints Jonathan Rigg as CEO To Lead Next Phase of MENA Expansion

Dubai, UAE: BitOasis, a CoinDCX company and one of the Middle East and North Africa’s pioneering regulated digital asset platforms, has appointed Jonathan Rigg as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding co-founder Ola Doudin, who has led the company since its founding in 2016.

The leadership transition marks a new phase for BitOasis as the company looks to strengthen its presence across the MENA digital asset market and expand its products and capabilities for retail, institutional and enterprise customers.

BitOasis has recorded approximately $8.5 billion in spot trading volume and serves customers including retail investors, family offices and institutions across the UAE, Bahrain and the wider region. The company says it has served more than one million customers since its inception.

Doudin co-founded BitOasis in 2016 and played a central role in establishing the platform and navigating the region’s evolving regulatory landscape.

“Over the years, we’ve worked to build more than a company; we’ve helped kickstart and lay the foundations for the digital asset industry across the region,” said Ola Doudin, Co-Founder of BitOasis. “I couldn’t be more confident in handing the business over to Jonathan, whose experience and leadership make him the right person to lead BitOasis through its next phase of growth.”

Rigg brings nearly a decade of experience across global banking, digital assets and fintech. He previously held roles at HSBC and Deutsche Bank, primarily in prime brokerage and capital advisory.

Most recently, he served as Vice President, Commercial at Fuze Finance, where he was part of the founding team and helped scale the business from inception. His experience includes commercial and P&L leadership across crypto infrastructure, OTC trading, stablecoin payments and Banking as a Service.

Rigg has also worked on launching regulated platforms and building commercial teams serving financial institutions, enterprise clients and regulators across the region.

“Ola and the team have built an exceptional platform with a strong reputation across the region, and my role is to build on that foundation,” said Jonathan Rigg, incoming CEO of BitOasis. “Together, we will continue strengthening our products, expanding our capabilities, and delivering the high standards our customers, partners and regulators expect.”

Expanding Regulated Digital Asset Operations

The leadership change comes as BitOasis continues to expand its regulated footprint across the region.

In May 2025, the company launched BitOasis Bahrain after receiving a broker-dealer licence from the Central Bank of Bahrain, extending its regulated operations beyond the UAE.

The company also operates an OTC desk serving institutional clients and has secured regulatory approval for derivatives products that are progressing toward market launch.

Ali Dashti, General Manager of BitOasis Bahrain, said Rigg joins at a pivotal point for the company as it builds on its regulatory and operational foundation in the region.

“Having built a strong foundation of trust and regulatory compliance across the region, including our operations here in Bahrain, we are in a prime position for our next phase of growth,” said Dashti.

BitOasis was acquired by CoinDCX, one of India’s leading crypto exchanges, in 2024. The companies have continued integrating their operations as BitOasis expands its role within the broader CoinDCX group.

The company said the combination of its established regional presence, regulatory approvals, institutional capabilities and continued integration with CoinDCX positions BitOasis to further expand its role in the MENA digital asset ecosystem.
