UAE’s Secure.com Raises $4.5M to expand AI-Powered Digital Security Agents

UAE-based Secure.com has announced the close of a $4.5 million funding round led by Disrupt.com, coinciding with the launch of its new Digital Security Teammate (DST)—an AI-native security agent designed to help organisations address the widening cybersecurity talent deficit, currently estimated at 4.8 million unfilled roles worldwide.

Founded by Uzair Gadit, Secure.com builds AI agents that act like security analysts by investigating alerts, triaging incidents, and automating compliance inside a company’s existing security stack. The investment marks Disrupt.com’s first backing of Secure.com and reflects a broader regional push to accelerate innovation in AI-first cybersecurity solutions. Disrupt.com is known for building major global startups, including Cloudways, which achieved a $350 million exit to DigitalOcean.

A Crisis Too Large for Human Teams Alone

According to Cybersecurity Ventures, global cybercrime damages have climbed to $10.5 trillion, while understaffed security teams face thousands of daily alerts from tools they lack the personnel to monitor. IBM’s 2025 Cost of a Data Breach Report reveals that average breach costs have reached $10.22 million in the U.S. and $7.29 million in the Middle East, yet only 49% of affected organisations plan to increase security spending.

Security teams are also grappling with burnout. A recent Object First survey shows 84% of security professionals feel “uncomfortably stressed,” and nearly 60% are considering leaving the field—exacerbating already long hiring cycles and rising analyst salaries, which now exceed $300,000 per year.

Introducing Digital Security Teammates

The new Digital Security Teammate (DST) is Secure.com’s response to what it calls the most significant operational crisis the cybersecurity industry has ever faced.

Security teams are drowning. We are giving them oxygen,” said Uzair Gadit, CEO of Secure.com. “The industry does not need another tool—it needs teammates. One Digital Security Teammate matches the workload of an L1 analyst and security engineer combined, at a fraction of the cost.”

DSTs act as always-on AI-native agents operating within a company’s existing security stack. They investigate alerts, triage incidents, execute compliance tasks, and escalate only when necessary—complementing tools rather than replacing them. Unlike traditional MDR, SOAR platforms, or single-vendor co-pilots, DSTs deploy within minutes and begin delivering value within the first 30 minutes.

As organisations confront increasingly sophisticated AI-driven threats, Secure.com positions DSTs as the next major evolution in security operations—providing continuous support for lean, cloud-first security teams struggling to keep pace.
