Palestine/Netherlands, January 2025 — TAP, a Palestinian-Dutch company focused on creating transformative remote job opportunities for underserved youth, has raised $1 million in a funding round led by Invest International (Netherlands), with additional backing from impact-focused angel investors.
This milestone will enable TAP to accelerate the development of its innovative AI-driven job-hunting platform, designed to empower youth to secure meaningful careers.
Breaking Barriers for Palestinian Youth
“Palestinian youth have shown that when systemic barriers are removed, their resilience and brilliance transform into flourishing opportunities,” said Christian, TAP’s co-founder and CEO. “We’re developing smarter, scalable solutions using AI to empower users to own their journey, leveraging their motivation and resourcefulness to secure meaningful careers. We are amplifying our impact in Palestine and expanding across the region.”
Founded on the conviction that meaningful employment is the key to economic and social resilience, TAP has delivered remarkable results in Palestine, a region rife with systemic injustice.
- 2023: Created 30–40 remote jobs.
- 2024: Doubled impact to over 100 remote roles.
The company’s expansion into Lebanon and Jordan in early 2024 has extended its model to address similar employment challenges in these regions.
A Vision Beyond Borders
Having experienced marginalization firsthand in Beirut, TAP’s Head of Operations, Marc, who now resides in Berlin, noted, “What started as a solution to empower youth in Palestine has evolved into a model that is expanding to the rest of MENA, where youth are equally marginalized and held back by systemic barriers.”
“Jobs are the ultimate equalizer, especially remote jobs—they break down barriers and level the playing field, no matter the circumstances or local limitations,” said Jafar, TAP’s co-founder and CTO, who continues to live and innovate from Nablus, Palestine.
AI-Driven Job Platform: Revolutionizing Access to Opportunities
In early 2024, TAP began developing its AI-powered job-hunting platform, aimed at helping youth take control of their job searches, build global networks, and secure meaningful remote opportunities.
The platform, currently in pilot testing with three education NGOs, has shown promising results, paving the way for a full launch in 2025. TAP aims to create 1,000 jobs in 2025 through this transformative platform, which will also be available directly to individuals.
“Our AI-driven tools have the potential to revolutionize how underserved youth access opportunities—not just in Palestine, Jordan, or Lebanon, but worldwide,” said Tabea, TAP’s Head of Product, based in Berlin.
A Grassroots Tech Movement Creating Hope
Despite operating under the challenging conditions in Gaza and the West Bank, TAP has become a beacon of hope and resilience for marginalized youth. In 2024, over 1,000 global mentors joined TAP’s mission, providing guidance and connections to youth in need.
“TAP is not just a company—it is a grassroots tech movement creating opportunities and inspiring hope,” said Christian. “We are building a movement to challenge systemic injustices. With every supporter, we grow stronger—and we won’t stop until opportunity is accessible to all.”
TAP’s vision to empower youth and level the playing field continues to gain momentum as it expands partnerships and prepares to launch its AI-powered platform. This $1 million funding round is a significant step toward a future where opportunity knows no borders.
