UAE-based Epic Markets has secured $10 million in a Pre-Seed funding round, with Karatage participating as the exclusive investor, to accelerate the development of its institutional-grade multi-asset brokerage platform for retail investors.
Founded in 2026 by Kevin Kimmel and Brian Seegers, Epic Markets aims to transform the retail trading experience by bringing the execution quality typically reserved for major financial institutions to individual investors.
The startup is building a next-generation brokerage platform designed around institutional-grade execution standards, enabling retail traders to access professional-level trading performance across multiple asset classes.
The funding represents the company’s first publicly disclosed investment round and marks Karatage’s entry as Epic Markets’ strategic investment partner. The investment underscores confidence in the company’s vision of narrowing the gap between institutional trading capabilities and the tools available to retail investors.
In a statement, Epic Markets said:
“Epic Markets is pleased to announce that it has closed a $10 million pre-seed round with Karatage as its exclusive investor. We thank Marius Barnett, Shane O., and the Karatage team for their partnership and support as we build a multi-asset brokerage platform grounded in institutional-grade execution standards and engineered to bring elite execution performance to retail traders.”
The company added that its platform is being developed to deliver a significant improvement in trade execution quality for individual investors through advanced technology, sophisticated execution infrastructure, and seamless integration across multiple asset classes.
With the fresh capital, Epic Markets plans to continue developing its platform as it seeks to redefine how retail investors access global financial markets while benefiting from execution standards traditionally available only to institutional participants.
