Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia-based investment firm Pinnacle has launched a venture capital fund focused on growth-stage technology companies and secondary investment opportunities in the Kingdom, aiming to address growing demand for growth capital and liquidity in the country’s maturing venture ecosystem.
The fund will invest through both primary funding rounds and secondary transactions, targeting established Saudi technology companies while providing additional liquidity to founders, early investors and other stakeholders.
Pinnacle, an investment firm affiliated with the Watar Partners network of firms, said the strategy is designed to address a gap emerging as Saudi Arabia’s startup ecosystem matures. While the Kingdom has seen a growing number of established and profitable technology companies, access to later-stage growth capital and exit opportunities remains relatively limited compared with more developed venture markets.
The fund will focus primarily on fintech, e-commerce, health and lifestyle, as well as technology businesses addressing opportunities in urban living, mobility and real estate.
In fintech, Pinnacle sees opportunities driven by regulatory developments and the continued shift toward digital financial services. The fund will also target companies benefiting from Riyadh’s rapid development as a global city, particularly across housing, mobility, real estate and urban services.
E-commerce will represent another area of focus, with Pinnacle identifying further growth potential as online retail penetration in Saudi Arabia continues to develop. In health and lifestyle, the fund will target businesses benefiting from rising health awareness and growing demand for preventative care and related services.
Through a combination of growth capital and secondary transactions, Pinnacle aims to support Saudi technology companies as they scale while contributing to the development of a more liquid and mature venture capital ecosystem in the Kingdom.
The fund’s launch comes as Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its technology and startup ecosystem under Vision 2030, with increasing numbers of companies progressing from early-stage funding toward growth and expansion phases.
