Moroccan startup ORA Technologies has secured a new $1.9 million pre-series funding round led by Witamax and Azur Innovation Management. It becomes one of the most locally funded Moroccan startups with this new fundraising, raising a total of $4.4 million in local funding since the company was founded in 2023.
“This financing round demonstrates the strong confidence of local investors in our disruptive adventure. This fundraising comes at a time when all eyes are on Morocco,” rejoices Omar Alami CEO and Founder of ORA Technologies.
“This $1.9 million funding round provides us with the resources to expand KooulMaroc’s reach in the market, grow ORA Cash, and continue to lead financial inclusion efforts in Morocco.” KooulMaroc is a 100% Moroccan food delivery app, while ORA Cash is the first social mobile wallet launched in Morocco.
