Syria-Based Proptech Miftah Secures Pre-Seed Funding Ahead of Market Launch

Damascus, Syria: Syrian property technology startup Miftah has successfully raised a pre-seed funding round for an undisclosed amount, as it prepares to launch a digital real estate marketplace aimed at enhancing transparency and trust in Syria’s fragmented property sector.

Founded in 2026, Miftah is addressing long-standing challenges in the local real estate market, including fraudulent listings, unclear ownership structures, and the presence of unverified intermediaries. The company is introducing a verification-first model designed to bring greater accountability to property transactions.

At the core of its platform is a robust identity verification system, requiring users to validate government-issued documents alongside biometric facial recognition. This approach is intended to create a more secure environment for both buyers and sellers.

Miftah’s offering consists of two integrated platforms. The first is a consumer-facing application that allows users to browse residential and commercial properties, including off-plan developments. The second is a brokerage-focused software suite, providing real estate professionals with tools for managing listings, tracking leads, and streamlining client interactions through built-in CRM capabilities.

In addition to listings, the platform incorporates data-driven insights, offering users access to localized pricing trends, market intelligence, and investment analytics—features largely absent in Syria’s current real estate landscape.

The company’s development team includes professionals trained in the UAE and Sweden, reflecting Miftah’s strategy to combine international expertise with local market understanding.

Following the completion of its pre-seed round, Miftah is finalizing its product rollout and operational launch. The startup aims to establish itself as a central digital hub connecting buyers, brokers, and investors, marking a significant step toward modernizing real estate transactions in Syria.
